Does anyone know for sure if there is bus service from Rovinj to Porec? Also - any idea if it runs late? And is the bus station near the ferry port?

I think the last bus is this one that eventually ends up in Zagreb.

It starts in Rovinj at 21:30 and arrives in Porec at 22:15.

The bus station is about 10-15 minutes (1KM-ish) walk from the ferry port.

I don't know about a bus closer to 20.00...
