Hello!

Can anyone tell me how easily reachable the Plitvice lakes are from Split ?
How long does it take to get there ?
I presume a day trip from Split is doable ?

It is 'doable' but you should really look at spending a night there to make the most of the journey especially if you are going to use public transport. Most people do not allow enough time to get see everything and get a feel for the place.

Bus journey time from Split to Plitvice Lakes is between 4.5 - 6 hours, depending which bus you take.

Just go to the bus station in Split on the riviera and buy a ticket or ask at a kiosk. Busses leave several times a day to most locations during the busy season so you shouldn't have to buy them in advance.
