Hi, I live in Amsterdam and I am planning (in the long run actually, but it is better to get ready sooner rather than later i guess) to visit Kvarner Islands, starting with Cres.
My question would be can I fly to Cres by plane? It is the cheapest way of travelling for me for such a long distances.

i think you can´t fly to cres, i think the island is too small for a port

no, there isn´t a port on Cres, but there is an international airport on the nearby Island of Krk.
so, my suggestion would be to fly to Krk, and from there take a boat to Cres.
however, i am not so sure are there direct lines between the two islands

i am not sure about direct lines either, maybe Columbus should check Jadrolinija´s schedule.
either way, he can always travel with ship to Rijeka and then take a ship to Cres

A friend of a friend of mine ( ) decided on a different tour.
he chose to travel to Cres but by landing in Zagreb and then he took few days to travel through the inner Croatia and Gorski kotar and then he took a ship from Rijeka to Cres.
I think that makes for a nice and joyful journey

and be aware that there is actually yet another smaller, charter airport in Mali Lošinj, so that is also a possibility
