I understand Labin is a rather small town. What are some of its sites :?:

in this medieval town try visiting: its galleries, the main town gate of St. Flora from the 16th century above which are symbols of venetian rule (a Venetian lion), the cannon from the Austrian period, the Labin National Museum (mining artefacts, the „Labin Republic“), the Memorial Collection (learn about famous 16th century person, Matthias Flacius Illyricus, one of Martin Luther’s first associates, Protestant writer and professor of theology and Hebrew at universities in Jena, Regensburg, Antwerp,...) :wink:

once i was in a mine of labin. we were on a school trip. this mine is well known and worth visiting. you can smell and experience the spirit of an old time....

well, melanie, i am very glad that you wrote this comment. visiting mine is a valuable experience, and it is usually a route for school or tourist excursions.
i visited the mine, too, but it was soooo long ago that i don remember it that well... :oops:
maybe i should visit it again :?:
