Hi!
I visited Lošinj a couple of years ago and I went to see an interesting lecture about dolphins in a Blue World organization.
Now I hear they offer you a possibility to adopt a dolphin? Does anyone know how this works? Can anyone tell me something more -have you or someone you know adopted a dolphin and can I do it if I´m not from Croatia?

One of my friends work in the Blue World, so I can tell you whatever you wish to know.
Firstly, anyone can adopt a dolphin. However, I guess you realize that is just, let´s call it, a manner of speech. You don´t actually adopt it, but you pay a fee (200 kunas per year) and that money goes to improving the life conditions of dolphins and it finances new researches.
Currently, you can choose between four dolphins to adopt, namely Debby, Sonja, Meta and Mush.
Once you adopt a dolphin, you get a t-shirt ( ), a certificate of adoption, guide about dolphins of Cres and Lošinj, the picture of your adopted dolphin and a yearly subscription to a Blue World newsletter.
For more on this, and to see photos of your future dolphin-baby, visit http://www.blue-world.org

So, will you adopt?
Personally, I haven´t done it yet, but it has crossed my mind. I like helping my friend in her work, and one summer I even volunteered. Dolphins are such a beautiful animals!
