I just found this forum and I immediately joined. I am reserching my family genealogy. I found that some of my ancestors, surnamed Dobrich and Viscovich, came to Istria in the middle 1700. They named the place as Kamerlengo. I know it is a fortress in Trogir. What was it used for in the 1700? Were these people in the military.
I know that Trogir is a city island with that castle of Kamerlengo so why did they not named Trogir as their native place?
Can anyone show me some of the history of that time? Thank you all, Valerio
