DUGA UVALA, a tourist complex in the Vinjole cove, 3 km southeast of Krnica, on the south-eastern side of the Istrian Peninsula. Construction of the tourist complex started in 1971, when the main road infrastructure was partly finished. From 1986 to 1991 the accommodation facilities were built, which today receive 2,600 persons. In autumn 1995 a modern project was completed - the recreational centre and the health resort which operate within Hotel Croatia. The area is surrounded by intact nature and beautiful beaches.

Various catering opportunities are offered in the tourist complex (coffee shops, pizzerias, restaurants). Entertainment includes a discotheque and a dancing terrace. There are many excursion opportunities, such as picnics in the nearby Istrian villages, cruising and sightseeing tours to the south of Istria, etc.

Sports facilities for tennis, bowling, miniature golf, billiards, football, handball, volleyball (multi-functional playgrounds) are also provided. Water sports equipment (sports and pedal boats) can be rented. Fishing tours are also offered. Health tourism is experiencing a rapid growth, thanks to professional services provided within Hotel Croatia (diagnostics, physical therapy, recreational programs).
