The town and its surroundings are especially attractive because of numerous wineries and gastronomic specialities, which are connected with the so-called wine-roads, as well as because of the opportunities for hunting tourism and horseback riding. Especially interesting is the traditional feast Grape Holiday (in September).

BUJE, a town in the north-western part of Istria, the economic centre of the Bujstina region. Due to the vicinity to the coast, sub-Mediterranean vegetation prevails. Buje is the centre of this agricultural region, surrounded by fertile fields and vineyards. Also well developed is electronics industry. Buje is located at the intersection of the roads Pula - Trieste and Umag - Buzet.
