Funtana
Funtana is a town settled in the central part of the western Istrian coast, about 6 km south from Porec; elevation 26 m. It is situated on the low and fertile coast, which contributes to numerous farming features like (vine yarding, olive-growing, citrus fruits cultivation, vegetables, wheat and alike growing).
The ground is covered with a thick layer of red soil which holds water. The indented low coast has numerous islands and by is an attractive landscape for the further tourism development. Funtana is located on the regional road Porec - Vrsar. Considering notabilities, the parish church of St. Bernard is very important and was built in year 1621. and reconstructed in 1941. Worth to visit is the cemetery church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel from year 1631 and in the vicinity is settled church of St. Lucy from the year 1750.
