Island Hvar
Hvar is an island settled in the central Dalmatian archipelago. In front of the western part of the southern coast of Hvar are Pakleni Otoci, and in front of the middle part is settled the island Scedro.
The northern coast of the island, with the spacious Stari Grad Bay and numerous coves, is much more indented than the southern part. Economy of the island is based on the tourism, farming, fishing, viticulture, olive growing and especially cultivating rosemary and lavender. The island has mild Mediterranean climate.
