Island Ciovo

The island is an extension of Trogir but also a type of breakwater for the Kastela Gulf. Accommodation facilities are provided in Arbanija, Donji and Gornji Okrug, Ciovo and Slatine

Ciovo

Ciovo is an island settled in the central Dalmatian archipelago. The island is an extension of Trogir but also a type of a breakwater for the Kastela Gulf. Apart from being a part of the town Trogir, there are several villages on the island: Arbanija, Zedno, Okrug Gornji, Okrug Donji, and the hamlets of Slatine and Prizidnica. On the western part of the island are placed sandy and pebble beaches, which consists the largest beach placed in the Saldun bay. Smaller coves include Duga, Tatinja and Movarstica. Along the south-western coast have placed several smaller islands (Sveta Fumija, Kraljevac, Galerija, etc.); their cliffs provide good features for underwater fishing. On the eastern side of the island have settled smaller beaches, around Slatine and the Supetar Cove. Ciovo offers numerous tourist attractions and valuable historical monuments.

Slatine

Slatine is a hamlet and a small harbor settled on the northern coast of the island Ciovo, 7 km southeast of Trogir. Main occupations are olive growing and fishing. Slatine is situated on the local road.
